Andy Davies will take charge of Swansea City’s Carabao Cup third-round tie with Reading on Tuesday (8pm).

The Hampshire official will be the man in the middle for a Swans game for the first time, having served as an assistant at the Liberty on five occasions and eight times as the fourth official.

His last appointment for a match involving the Swans came as the fourth official for the home match against Bournemouth in December 2016, as the hosts suffered a 3-0 defeat.

He has refereed six games this season - once in the Carabao Cup - issuing 21 bookings.

Davies has established himself as one of the leading referees in the Championship in recent seasons, while also officiating in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Timothy Wood and Nick Hopton will serve as his assistants while John Brooks is the fourth official.
