Man in the Middle: Anthony Taylor

Anthony Taylor will take charge of Swansea City’s Premier League fixture against Manchester City on Wednesday (7.45pm).

Taylor, from Manchester, will be the man in the middle for a Swans game for the first time this season.

The 39-year-old took charge of the Swans’ 3-2 win over Burnley at the Liberty last spring as well as their 2-0 win over Chelsea in the Capital One Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge back in 2013.

Taylor has also refereed the Capital One Cup final between Chelsea and Tottenham and the Community Shield match between Arsenal and Chelsea.

Taylor has taken charge of 175 matches in the top flight, issuing 604 bookings and 29 red cards.

He will be assisted on Wednesday by Lee Betts and Peter Kirkup, while Lee Probert is the fourth official.
