David Webb will be the man in the middle when Swansea City host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (3pm).
The Lancashire official has never previously refereed a Swans home game.
He has taken charge of one Swans away game – a 2-1 defeat at Burnley back in April 2011.
Webb has been a Football League official since 2008.
He has refereed Sheffield Wednesday twice already this season, most recently in their 2-1 at Aston Villa in September.
Webb will be assisted this weekend by Mark Pottage and Mark Russell, while Stephen Martin will be the fourth official.
