Man in the middle: John Brooks

26th August
First team

John Brooks will be the man in the middle when Swansea City face Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup second round on Tuesday night (7.30pm).

The Leicestershire and Rutland official has been working in the Football League since 2016, and did his first Championship game in December 2017.

Brooks has never previously referee either the Swans or Crystal Palace.

He was in charge of Stoke’s home defeat to Wigan earlier this week, when he sent off Wales captain Ashley Williams.

He will be assisted on Tuesday by Andrew Fox and Adam Matthews, while Lee Swabey will be the fourth official.
