30th July
First team

John Brooks will be the man in the middle when Swansea City kick off the Championship season at home to Hull on Saturday (3pm).

The Leicestershire official took charge of the Swans on three occasions last season, overseeing the Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace, a goalless draw at Wigan and a 1-0 Liberty Stadium win over Sheffield United in January.

He has refereed in the EFL since the start of the 2016-17 season, and has been an assistant referee in the Premier League and at international level.

He will be assisted by Sam Lewis and Timothy Wood, while Scott Jackson is the fourth official.
