John Brooks will be the man in the middle when Swansea City face Cardiff City in Saturday’s South Wales derby.
The Leicestershire official will take charge of the Swans for the first time this season, having last overseen one of their games on the opening day of last season against Hull.
The previous season he had the whistle for the Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace, the draw at Wigan and the home win over Sheffield United.
He has refereed in the EFL since the start of the 2016-17 campaign, and has been an assistant referee in the Premier League and at international level.
Nick Greenhalgh and Akil Howson will assist him at Cardiff City Stadium, while Keith Stroud is the fourth official.
