Man in the middle: Martin Atkinson

5th February

Martin Atkinson will take charge of Swansea City’s Emirates FA Cup clash with Notts County on Tuesday night (8.05pm).

The West Yorkshire official has refereed the Swans twice already this season.

He was in charge of their 2-0 defeat at Burnley in November as well as the memorable victory over Watford in Carlos Carvalhal's first game as Swans boss.

Atkinson was also the man in the middle for the Swans’ 1-0 victory over Everton at the back-end of last season, as well as the 1-1 draw at Goodison Park earlier in the campaign.

Atkinson took charge of his first Premier League game back in 2004-05.

He refereed the 2011 FA Cup final and the 2013 League Cup final, as well as officiating at Euro 2012.

Atkinson will be assisted by Peter Kirkup and Dan Cook, while the fourth official is Andre Marriner.

VAR will be in operation for the first time at the Liberty, with Neil Swarbrick in the chair.
