Man in the middle: Peter Bankes

1st April
First team

Peter Bankes will be the man in the middle when Swansea City host Brentford in the Championship on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The Lancashire official will be taking charge of a Swans fixture for the first time, and he has officiated in the Championship since the 2014-15 season.

He has refereed Brentford twice this season, in their goalless draw at Birmingham and their win over Nottingham Forest.

Bankes found himself in the spotlight earlier this season when he sent off Derby manager Frank Lampard during their game at Rotherham, after the former Chelsea and England midfielder left his technical area to protest a decision.

He will be assisted by Mark Russell and Daniel Leach, while Tim Robinson is the fourth official.
