Marko Stamenic | We dust ourselves down and get ready to go again
Marko Stamenic insists Swansea City will pick themselves up and go "full force" to return to winning ways following defeat to West Ham United.
The Swans were beaten 1-0 by the Hammers after Divine Mukasa slotted home from Mahamadou Kante's pull-back in the 34th minute.
The hosts had their chances to get something from the game, having 11 shots as they dominated possession, but were unable to test Mads Hermansen in the visiting goal.
Despite defeat, Vitor Matos side will end the weekend still at the top of the Championship table, and they will be looking to put the disapointment of a first home league loss of the season behind them when they head to QPR next weekend.
"The Championship is a league where you have to respect every opponent. We have played a team who have just come down from the Premier League, and we know there's another tough test coming next week," said Stamenic.
"We have some time to prepare, after three games in a week on the back of a busy international window.
"We will definitely go in there with full force, we are of course disappointed as a team that we were not able to get something from this game - and I take full responsibility for their goal - but the challenge now is clear and we need to prepare well and be ready to go again and perform at QPR."
The Swans were backed by a record Swansea.com Stadium crowd of 20,793 in SA1, and there was a tangible sense of excitement following the excellent start to the season.
Stamenic and his teammates were keen to thank the supporters, and acknowkedged their role over this opening part of the campaign.
"We are so grateful for the support, that was one of the best atmospheres I have played in," he said.
"We can only thank them, they have been brilliant home and away this season and we would not be where we are in the table without them."
