Liam Cullen - injury

Russell Martin confirmed Swansea City striker Liam Cullen suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder against Queens Park Rangers and is facing a spell on the sidelines.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury just moments after coming as a substitute in the 1-0 win over the Rs.

The academy product fell awkwardly after working hard to win the ball back for his side near the right-hand touchline.

He received prolonged treatment before being helped from the field.

“It looks like he has dislocated his shoulder. We are devastated for Culls,” said head coach Martin.

“He deserves to be in the squad, he deserved to come on and he was so tenacious and then that happens.

“We have had two players suffer that injury within two or three weeks of each other, which is obviously unusual.

“It’s not the most common of injuries in football, and we are gutted for him.

“We hope we can get some positive news, but it looks unlikely at the minute.

“He is a brilliant young man and I know he will work so hard to come back stronger than he is now.”
