Match day guide for supporters attending South Wales derby

14th October
Fans

Supporters who have tickets for our Championship fixture against Cardiff City on Sunday, October 17 (12pm) are encouraged to arrive at the Swansea.com Stadium as early as possible.

This game will mark the first game in Wales to see the introduction of the NHS COVID pass, therefore the club anticipates that queues are likely to form.

In anticipation of queues, turnstiles will open 30 minutes earlier than usual for this fixture – so TWO HOURS before kick-off. Therefore, supporters can enter the Swansea.com Stadium from 10am on October 17.

We ask fans to be patient and respectful of our match day staff, as abuse will not be tolerated. We thank fans in advance for their support in this new process.

NHS COVID pass

Supporters must adhere to the code of conduct found HERE.

All ticket holders MUST have an NHS COVID pass. The legislation in Wales changed on October 11, which means that you must have an NHS COVID pass to attend any event with more than 10,000 people.

We ask ticket holders to review the information on our dedicated webpage -www.swanseacity.com/covid-pass. This webpage has full information on what a COVID pass is, how to get one and comprehensive FAQs for our fans.

Your vaccination card, that members of the public will have upon obtaining their vaccine, IS NOT a valid NHS COVID pass and will not permit entry to the stadium.

The name on your ticket does not need to match the NHS COVID pass, as we understand that a high number of our fans purchase multiple tickets on behalf of their friends and families.

To reiterate, you must have a ticket to the game and an NHS COVID pass to enter the Swansea.com Stadium.

Lateral flow tests

There will be no Lateral Flow Test available on site, on a match day for fans to utilise.

Supporters who require a negative Lateral Flow Test result, must have already completed their test, and recorded the result with the NHS prior to travelling to the stadium.

A reminder that the test must have been completed within 48 hours of the fixture (so 12pm on Friday, October 15).

Supporters who choose this method of NHS COVID pass must show the text message or email received, proving the negative result, to gain entry to the stadium.

The test itself is not proof of a negative result, so please do not bring this with you.

Tickets

Season ticket holders are encouraged to bring their season ticket card to future fixtures and to be ready with the card and valid NHS COVID pass, ready for checking at the turnstile.

Match ticket holders must print their tickets and ensure the print quality is satisfactory before travelling to the stadium.

The ticket office will be open from 9am until 3.30pm, to assist supporters with any queries regarding their match ticket. Alternatively, supporters can email ticketing@swanseacity.com or call 01792 616400 and select option 1.

Fans who DO NOT have a match ticket SHOULD NOT attend the stadium.

There will be NO match day sales available for this fixture.

Fans who have chosen NOT to acquire a valid form of an NHS Covid pass should not attend.

Fans displaying symptoms of Covid-19 SHOULD NOT attend.

Catering and the Riverside Lounge

For the first hour of turnstiles opening (10am – 11am), fans will be able to purchase bacon rolls from just £2.50.

Supporters should be aware that for this fixture, the Riverside Lounge will only be open for East Stand ticket holders, as it will form part of the concourse.

Parking and travel

Supporters are also reminded that due to the Swansea Half Marathon, there will be several road closures in place.

The road closures will start at 7.30am with the Half Marathon taking place from the city centre to Mumbles, so expect queues if you are travelling to or from that area with diversions being in place. For more information click HERE.

We advise supporters to plan their journey accordingly and leave in plenty of time when travelling to the Swansea.com Stadium.

Supporters should be aware that there may be road closures around the area of the stadium in effect pre-game, with definite closures expected after the final whistle. This will cause significant delays and we thank supporters for their patience with this.

Ticket holders in the East Stand should also be aware of an alternative route to access their seats .Access through the North Car Park will not be available pre and post match for fans in the North East Corner and East Stand, with alternative routes using the cycle path around the back of the North Car Park.
