Christmas is coming to the Swansea.com Stadium this weekend as Swansea City host the Matthew’s House Festive Funfair.

The funfair will open at midday on Saturday, December 16 and will close at 2.30pm, with supporters then encouraged to take their seats to watch the Swans take on Middlesbrough (3pm kick-off).

Please note, entry is free with a match ticket and you must show your ticket to enter.

Here’s your guide to the festivities:

 

ARRIVE EARLY

Open: Midday

Matthew’s House Festive Funfair will open at midday and the first 50 children to arrive will receive a golden ticket from Plantasia for free entry for a child.

 

WHAT’S ON?

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the Matthew’s House Festive Funfair, with the following starting at midday:

  • Ice rink
  • Rolypoly Children’s DJ
  • Bouncy Castle
  • Table Football
  • Letter writing to Santa
  • Christmas-themed treasure hunt
  • Win unique prizes with our Swans Christmas Crackers
  • Donate to Matthew's House and help us decorate the Swans' Christmas tree

 

TIMETABLE OF EVENTS

12pm – Activities begin.

12.30pm - Cyril & Cybil’s dance party begins at the children’s DJ station.

1pm – Rock Choir performance starts near the Christmas tree.

1.30pm – Cyril & Cybil host another dance party at the children’s DJ station.

2pm – Christmas light switch on.

2.30pm – Matthew’s House Festive Funfair closes.

 

MATTHEW'S HOUSE

The festive funfair is in aid of local charity Matthew’s House.

Matthew’s House comprises seven different elements: Matt’s Café, The Homeless Period, Matt’s Showers, Matt’s Laundry, Matt’s Buddies, Matt’s Community Choir, and Hope in Swansea.

Each of these is uniquely set up to provide a lifeline, with practical help and support for homeless people and those who are most vulnerable in Swansea.
