Matt Grimes | We are finding our feet
Skipper Matt Grimes believes victory at Coventry underlines that Swansea City are beginning to find their stride under Russell Martin.
The Swans inflicted a first home defeat of the season on the high-flying Sky Blues thanks to goals from Jamie Paterson and Joel Piroe.
The 2-1 success moved Swansea into the top half of the table and they have now won four of their last five games.
Head coach Martin was only appointed a handful of days before the start of the Championship campaign, and it has inevitably taken time to implement his gameplan.
There is still much work to be done, but recent results and performances have provided plenty of reason for encouragement.
“We had a slow start due to the gaffer coming in just before the start of the season, but we are really finding our feet,” said Grimes.
“You can see the clear identity we have and the way we are playing. We are enjoying it.
“Yes, we are one point off the play-offs but we’re not concentrating on talk of the top six. We are focusing on improving our performances.
“It’s a big win for us as they have not lost on home soil all season, while our away form has not been anything like our home results.
“So we know we will have to keep building on our away form.”
