Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson will link up with England Under-21s for a training camp ahead of the European Championships this summer.

Mawson has already featured twice for his nation’s U21s, and the centre-back hopes to impress boss Aidy Boothroyd enough during the camp in St George’s Park to earn selection for the tournament being held in Poland in June.
England U21s face Sweden (June 16), Slovakia (June 19) and hosts Poland (June 22), with the final set to be played on June 30.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a successful first year with the Swans following his summer switch from Barnsley.
He scored four goals in 27 Premier League appearances and was named Young Player of the Year at the club’s awards nights as the Swans retained their top-flight status.
