McBurnie nominated for monthly award
Swansea City striker Oli McBurnie has been nominated for September's Premier League 2 Player of the Month Award.
The 21-year-old has scored five goals in his four appearances for the under-23s this season while also featuring as a substitute for the first team on three occasions.
McBurnie netted twice against Derby County at the start of the month and was also on target against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Celtic.
His impressive form has earned him another call-up to the Scotland Under-21s for their matches against England and Latvia this month.
Other nominees for September’s award include Liverpool’s Harry Wilson and Manchester City’s Brahim Diaz, as well as Hamza Choudhury of Leicester City.
The winner will be announced on Friday, October 13.
