Thomas Bramall will be the man in the middle when Swansea City travel to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

The Sheffield-based official took charge of his first Championship match as recently as March 2021 and was added to Select Group 2 the following summer.

Despite being a relative newcomer to officiating, he has already taken charge of five Premier League matches making his top-flight debut earlier this season overseeing a match between Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion at Craven Cottage.

It’s an impressive rise for Bramall whose progress was stinted in 2019 when he suffered an ACL injury which left him side-lined for nearly nine months.

Saturday will mark just the third time that he has overseen a Swans match. He was in-charge for the Swans’ away trip to Preston North End last term and was also the man in the middle when Russell Martin’s side travelled to Oxford United in the Carabao Cup earlier this year.

So far this season, Bramall has taken charge of 22 matches. He has handed out 64 yellow cards and one red.

This weekend, he will be assisted by Graham Kane and Richard Wild. Robert Lewis will be the fourth official.
