Meet the officials | Coventry City

2nd March
First team
Geoff Eltringham

Geoff Eltringham will be the man in charge when Swansea City host Coventry City at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

The man from County Durham is one of the longest serving officials in the EFL. Eltringham started as an assistant referee in 2008 and took charge of his first match around 12 months later.

A familiar face at Swansea games, the 41-year-old has overseen nine Swans matches since October 2018, with the most recent a 1-0 victory over Bristol City at Ashton Gate earlier this season.

Eltringham handed out 10 yellow cards on that day as Joel Piroe’s 19th minute strike proved decisive. The goal scorer was one of six Swans players booked.

In total this season, Eltringham has handed out 107 yellow cards and three reds in 25 games.

On the weekend, he will be assisted by Andrew Dallison and Craig Taylor. The fourth official will be Lee Swabey.
