Meet the officials | Huddersfield Town
Ben Toner will be the man in charge when Swansea City travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
It will be just the second time the man from Lancashire has refereed in the Championship after being handed a fixture between Bristol City and Hull City at Ashton Gate on the final weekend of last season. The match ended 5-0 to the home side.
Toner has never taken charge of a Swans match. He was supposed to be fourth official for the Swans’ original fixture against Birmingham City in September, but was not part of the officiating team when the match was rearranged for earlier this week.
So far this season, Toner has been in charge of 16 matches across League One, League Two, the Carabao Cup and Papa John’s Trophy. He has handed out 53 yellow cards but has not sent anyone off.
On Saturday, he will be assisted Graham Kane and Philip Dermott. Jeremy Simpson will be the fourth official.
