Sam Allison signals a decision

Sam Allison will be the man in the middle for Swansea City’s Championship fixture against Leeds United at Elland Road on Wednesday night (7.45pm).

It will be the second time the former firefighter has taken charge of a Swans league match, having also overseen a pre-season friendly against Forest Green Rovers in 2021.

Allison – who had a successful playing career in the upper echelons of non-league football -  has taken charge of over 100 matches across the EFL leagues and competitions since his promotion to the National List of Referees in 2020.

Wednesday’s match will be just his seventh second-tier fixture. So far this season, Allison has taken charge of 11 games in all competitions, handing out 48 yellow cards and one red.

He will be assisted Andrew Fox and Mark Stevens, while Stephen Martin will be the fourth official.
