Thomas Bramall will be the man in charge when Swansea City travel to Oxford United on Tuesday in the first round of the Carabao Cup (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Sheffield-based official was added to Select Group 2 ahead of the 2021-22 season after three seasons in League One and League Two.

This will be just the second time Bramall has overseen a Swans match. He blew the whistle when Russell Martin’s team visited Deepdale in August. The match ended in a 3-1 defeat for Swans and Bramall handed out five yellow cards. Steven Benda was the only Swans man to be booked.

Last season, Bramall took charge of 33 games including a League One play-off semi-final between MK Dons and Wycombe Wanderers and the FA Trophy final between Bromley and Wrexham. He gave out 105 yellow cards and six reds.

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Adam Nunn and Matthew Wilkes. Daniel Middleton will be the fourth official.
