Meet the officials | Queens Park Rangers

19th January
First team
John Busby

John Busby is set to take charge when Swansea City travel to Queens Park Rangers on January 21 (3pm kick-off).

It’s been less than a month since Busby took charge of a Swans game. He was the man in the middle when the Swans hosted Watford at the Swansea.com Stadium in the final game of 2022.

On that day, he handed out six yellow cards with four Swans men booked. Harry Darling, Jay Fulton, Matt Grimes and Joel Latibeaudiere were all shown a card.

Despite only being the fifth time the Oxfordshire-based official has taken charge of a Swans game, it is the third time this season as he was also in charge when the Swans travelled to Preston North End earlier in the season.

So far this term, he has taken charge of 18 matches and has handed out 72 yellow cards and three reds.

On Saturday, Busby will be assisted by Mark Pottage and Andrew Dallison. Paul Howard will be the fourth official.
