Meet the officials | Reading

First team

Andy Davies will be the man in charge when Swansea City host Reading at the Swansea.com Stadium on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).

Davies was a late replacement for James Bell who had originally been due to take charge of the game – it would have been his first time refereeing a Swans match.

On the contrary, Hampshire-based Davies (originally due to be fourth official) has taken charge of ten Swansea City matches since 2017. The first of these was a Carabao Cup third round match between Tuesday’s opponents Reading and the Swans in west Berkshire.

That match ended with a 2-0 win for the visiting Swans.

Davies most recently took charge of the Swans in April when they saw off Millwall at The Den. On that occasion, he handed out three yellow cards with Joel Latibeaudiere and Matt Grimes booked for the Swans.

So far this season, Davies has taken charge of ten matches. He has handed out 23 yellow cards and one red.

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Adam Crysell and Sam Lewis. Saturday’s referee Stephen Martin will the fourth official.
