Meet the officials | Sheffield United

Tom Nield will be the referee when Swansea City take on Sheffield United at the Swansea.com Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

A trained nurse who worked extra shifts during the Covid-19 pandemic, Nield has been officiating in the EFL since 2017 and took charge of his first Championship fixture during the 2022-23 season.

Last term, he oversaw 28 matches across League One, the Championship, the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, handing out 99 yellow cards and one red card.

Nield took charge of three Swansea fixtures last season, including away trips to West Bromwich Albion and Wrexham, as well as the Swans’ home draw with Birmingham City back in January.

On Saturday, Nield will be assisted by Callum Gough and Michael Webb, while Leigh Doughty will serve as the fourth official.
