Simon Hooper will be the referee for Swansea City’s FA Cup third-round tie against Southampton.
The Swindon official will be taking charge of the Swans for the first time this season; he last had the whistle for a game involving the club when he oversaw February’s 2-0 home win over Norwich.
Prior to that, he had been in the middle for a home defeat to Fulham during the 2019-20 season.
The experienced Hooper has taken charge of a number of Premier League fixtures, having first officiated in the top-flight during the 2017-18 campaign.
He will be assisted by Andrew Fox and Richard Wild, while Tom Reeves is the fourth official.
