Meet the officials | Watford

Edward Duckworth will be the man in the middle when Swansea City host Watford on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Duckworth’s route into professional refereeing began in the Lancashire Sunday League, before he progressed to the National League ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Alongside his refereeing career, he worked as the FA’s National Talent Manager for match officials. He later left that role to focus fully on his own development as a referee, earning promotion to the EFL in the process.

Last season, he oversaw 40 matches across the EFL's three divisions and Cup competitions, producing 158 yellow cards and seven red cards.

Duckworth officiated just one Swansea fixture last season, which came in our 4-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town last November.

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Hugh Gilroy and Jacob Lehane, while John Busby will serve as the fourth official.
