Melanie Emms wins Habitat Homecare’s Carer of the Month award

Melanie Emms has won Habitat Homecare’s Carer of the Month award for May as Swansea City continues its support for Habitat Homecare throughout the 2022-23 season.

The Carer of the Month award was launched as a small token of appreciation and recognition for the carers who have gone above and beyond to improve someone’s life through their work.

Working in the care sector is renowned for being one of the most rewarding jobs you can do, and for many good reasons. Being a carer means you are able to make a real difference to peoples' lives on a daily basis – from cooking their favourite meal to making sure they are safe and cared for in their own homes.

Providing care for someone on a regular basis allows you make a real difference to someone’s life, particularly when you are supporting someone who is living with a condition that requires a wider range of more complex care needs.

Habitat Homecare’s Managing Director Steve Davies is pleased to announce their May ‘Carer of the Month' award goes to Melanie Emms.

Mel was chosen for Carer of the Month for many reasons. She is an extremely hard worker who is dedicated to her job and the people she supports love having her there. Her bubbly personality shines through, and the clients have commented on how she brightens up their day.

Mel always turns up with a smile on her face and nothing is too much trouble. She is a valued member of our team, and we at Habitat Homecare are very lucky to have such a kind, caring member of staff.
