Monk: I have confidence in my players

22nd October

Garry Monk says he has great confidence with his squad ahead of Saturday's trip to Aston Villa (3pm).
The Swans head to Villa Park on the back of a five games without a win in the Barclays Premier League - including last Monday's home defeat against Stoke.
Villa, meanwhile, are also looking to turn their fortunes around with Tim Sherwood's men not having won since an opening-day victory at Bournemouth.
But Monk remained defiant as the Swans boss reiterated the confidence within the camp ahead of this weekend's clash.

"We had a very similar period last season, a five-game period around the time we lost at home to Chelsea (0-5)," he said. "But we relied on our unity and it brought us together.
"We then went to Southampton at the start of February and got the result we needed and we kicked on from there.
"But I've got great confidence with this group. We are in a difficult moment, we're not denying that, but this group have already shown what they are capable of and we want to get back to that.
"We've trained really well this week and we go to Villa looking to get the result we want.
"We are not playing at the levels we can, but that's my job as a manager to change that."
