Montero set for Baggies clash

The winger did not feature in the 4-1 defeat to Norwich City.

But boss Graham Potter explained that Montero was not injured.

Instead the Swans were taking a cautious approach following Montero’s stint with the Ecuador squad during the international break.

“Jeff didn’t train with us – he just did a little bit of light training on Friday,” Potter said.

“We are not quite sure exactly what he has been doing over there (in South America), so rather than risk him with his record, we felt it was sensible to give him more training so we know exactly where he’s at.

“We will look to get Jeff back involved on Wednesday.”

Potter says Tom Carroll has an “outside chance” of featuring against West Brom as he battles a hip problem.
