Moussa Yeo is excited to be working with Vitor Matos again after completing his move to Swansea City.

The 22-year-old has joined the Swans from Red Bull Salzburg for an undisclosed fee, and has signed a four-year deal in SA1, which includes the option of an additional 12 months.

The forward previously played under Matos during the Portuguese’s time in Austria, and he admitted the chance to once again work with the Swans boss was one of the reasons he chose to make the move to south Wales.

“I knew Vitor at Salzburg when he worked with Pep [Lijnders] in Austria, and during those months he helped me to progress a lot,” said Yeo.

“He helped my play as a number nine and he helped my play as a winger. We had a good time together at Salzburg, and here it is going to be even better.

“I am a very versatile player. I think that's a big strength of mine. I can play in several positions, and I think I will bring that that dynamism to the team.

“I can't wait to get started. I know pre-season is in the next week. I can't wait. We're going to prepare well. We're going to have a good season together. I am happy to be here.”

Forward Yeo has spent the last four seasons on the books of the Austrian top-flight club, making 70 appearances in all competitions, including in the Champions League and Europa League.

His European experience included netting against eventual champions Aston Villa in the latter competition last season.

And he is confident being part of such occasions can help him hit the ground running at Swansea.

“I'm only 22 years old, but in football, 22 years is already a lot,” he said.

“Playing in the Europa League and the Champions League, I think those were great moments. They were big games, especially in the Champions League, against teams like Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.

“But I think I've learned a lot from them, and hopefully I can help the team because of that.”
