Narsingh's happy to pass on experience

12th September

Luciano Narsingh believes the Swans’ young guns have the potential to enjoy a successful campaign in Premier League 2 Division 1 after helping them to a first victory of the season.

Dutch international Narsingh was joined in the under-23s side by fellow senior team-mates Wilfried Bony and Kristoffer Nordfeldt for Monday night’s 5-2 win over Derby at the Liberty.

Both Narsingh and Bony were on target against the Rams, while Oli McBurnie – who netted a brace – and Jay Fulton also offered first-team experience in the line-up.

And Narsingh, who played the full 90 minutes, was eager to pass on his experience to the Swans’ youngsters.

“It was a good opportunity to pass on our experience to the younger players here,” said the winger.

“When I was a young pro it was really beneficial for me to play with team-mates who have a lot of experience.

“Myself, Wilfried and Kristoffer along with Jay and Oli have plenty of experience to pass on to these players and it’s an opportunity we all took up because it helps the player and it helps the club.

“It was good to help the team win their first game of the season.

“There are good players in the team and I think they can have a good season. It’s a new league for them, but I think the team showed on Monday night that they have the quality to do well this season.”
