Harry Darling is set to miss Swansea City’s clash with Plymouth Argyle, but new signings Charles Sagoe Jr and Przemyslaw Placheta are in contention to be involved.

Darling picked up a quad injury in the second half of the midweek defeat to Leicester City and is set to be out for a few weeks.

Forwards Sagoe Jr and Placheta, meanwhile, are fit enough to be in the selection mix, although head coach Luke Williams made clear he will not take any risks with them so soon after their arrivals in SA1.

“We need to be a bit careful with the two new guys as they have not played so many minutes recently,” said the Swans boss.

“They are fit but we don’t want to make a mistake and rush them. Ronald was playing regularly before he joined, came on in a tough game at Leicester and coped with it well physically, so that’s a very good sign.

“Harry Darling will be out for a few weeks, not too long, it’s a small tear in the quad, while Jamal is weeks not months, although it might be a little bit longer than we first thought.

“From there we have longer-term ones you already know about.”

Josh Key, Liam Walsh, Josh Ginnelly, Sam Parker and Azeem Abdulai are all unavailable.
