No fresh injury concerns ahead of Wrexham

Swansea City head coach Vitor Matos has confirmed there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday night’s Championship clash with Wrexham.

Club captain Ben Cabango is back in training and will continue to be assessed ahead of the all-Welsh encounter at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Ross Stewart, Cameron Burgess and Gonçalo Franco remain sidelined, but there are otherwise no new injury concerns for Matos to contend with ahead of the weekend.

Attention will also be on new signing Jeremy Monga, with the 17-year-old forward hoped to be in contention to make his Swansea debut after joining the club on deadline day.

Monga linked up with the Swans from parent club Manchester City after completing a permanent move to the Etihad Stadium from Leicester City earlier in the summer.

He will wear the number 12 shirt in south Wales and has already made 34 first-team appearances despite his young age.

Matos says the highly-rated attacker is available for selection, subject to final clearance.

“As far as I know, Jeremy is up for selection. Of course, these things we need to check regarding his final clearance and those kinds of things, but as far as we know, he’s good," he said.

“I think he’s a really talented kid who has a lot of potential. He’s really technical, strong in one-v-ones, and we needed that kind of player in the window.

“I’m really happy to have him here with us, and now it’s up to us to use him in the right moments.

"Ben is also in training, we will how the session goes and we will make a decision from there."
