Nordfeldt's delight at Premier League bow

17th May

Kristoffer Nordfeldt expressed his delight at making his Barclays Premier League debut with Swansea City last weekend.
The Swedish international - who signed from Dutch side SC Heerenveen last summer - helped the Swans end their 2015-16 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Manchester City.
That result saw Francesco Guidolin's men finish the campaign in 12th place ahead of a sixth successive season in the top-flight.
But despite some limited first-team opportunities behind Lukasz Fabianski this season, Nordfeldt admitted he was relieved to have made his first Premier League start.
"It was nice to be out there and to make my Premier League debut," he said. "It has been a big step coming here. I have had to wait for my turn on the bench but I am pleased to have played my first match and help the team end the season unbeaten.
"The result was a fair one but I think we had our chances to earn the three points if we had had a bit more luck in front of goal.
"Everyone has seen this season as difficult but if we had taken the win on Sunday we would have had our second best season in the Premier League.
"It is easy to get carried away when we compare ourselves to last season. Everyone's expectations were higher but we should be happy to end where we did.
"It is always good to end a season with an unbeaten run and Sunday's result was a step in the right direction."
