Ollie Cooper | It's great to be back out there in a Swansea shirt
Ollie Cooper is relishing his return to SA1 following his first home appearance since being recalled from his loan spell at Wigan Athletic.
The academy graduate had been due to stay with the Latics for the whole season but came back to the Swans earlier this month after 13 appearances for the League One club.
Head coach Vitor Matos has had words of praise for the 26-year-old claiming he was 'back where he belongs' as a Swansea academy product, and the midfielder received a warm welcome from supporters when introduced from the bench in the win against Blackburn.
Cooper was delighted to be back home in front of the Jack Army, and is aiming to kick on for the remainder of the Championship campaign.
"It's really nice to be back. The crowd gave me a lovely reception which made it feel a bit more special," said Cooper.
"It's been a bit of a breath of fresh air coming back, with the new gaffer, it's a fresh start. I loved every minute of being back on the pitch.
"The gaffer is great. I've had to do some catching up, more running and training to get up to the standards he wants.
"I think you can see from the games, we're playing with high intensity and a high press. That's something I enjoy doing, and something I feel like I'm good at.
"The boys welcomed me back straight away, and it's like I never left. The loan at Wigan didn't go as planned really, so I'm ready to give it my all and play as much as I can over the next five months."
