Swansea City midfielder Ollie Cooper has joined Notts County on a season-long loan, subject to the relevant clearance.

The deal includes an option for the move to be made permanent, and the Wales international links up with County in League One following their promotion via the play-offs last season.

Cooper, 26, has been with the Swans since under-12 level, rising through the ranks to make his senior debut in an FA Cup tie at Stevenage in 2020.

Following a productive loan spell at Newport County, he firmly established himself in the Swans first team during the 2022-23 season and scored a memorable opener in a 2-0 south Wales derby victory.

Cooper travelled with the Wales squad for the World Cup in Qatar at the end of 2022, and in total he has made 118 Swansea appearances, and won five caps for his country.

He spent the first half of last season on loan with Wigan Athletic, and he will now play under former Swans assistant Martin Paterson at Meadow Lane.

Everyone at Swansea City wishes Ollie every success during his loan spell.
