Paloschi completes Swans switch
29th January
Swansea City have completed the signing of Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
The 26-year-old, who will wear the number nine shirt, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty Stadium.
He becomes the club's first senior arrival of the January transfer window and will link up with Head Coach Francesco Guidolin, who he worked with during his time at Parma.
Paloschi began his career with Italian giants AC Milan, making his senior debut in February 2008 under then-manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Arriving as a second-half substitute against Liverno, Paloschi scored the winning goal just 17 seconds after being introduced.
However, due to limited first-team opportunities at the San Siro, he then moved to Parma, scoring 12 goals in his first season as the club won promotion back to Italy's top-flight under the guidance of Francesco Guidolin.
Further spells in Italy with Genoa and Milan both followed before the striker signed for Chievo in August 2011, where he scored 42 goals in 145 games.
He scored eight goals in 21 Serie A appearances this season with Chievo and previously won 29 caps for Italy Under-21s.
