Past play-off experience can help U21s, says Gorre

25th April

Kenji Gorre believes Swans Under-21s can use last season's experience of knockout competition to their advantage in tonight's Premier Division Two play-off semi-final against Aston Villa at the Liberty (7pm).
The young Swans host Villa in a one-leg tie with a place in the final against either Arsenal or Blackburn Rovers waiting in store for the winners.
Last season, the U21s were crowned Development League Two champions following a play-off final win over Huddersfield at the Liberty.
And Gorre, who scored in that game, hopes he can help fire the hosts to the final as he looks to continue his scoring form which has seen him net six goals in his last seven games since returning from his loan spell at Dutch side Den Haag.

"We have been on a great run of form and we do not want that to end," said the winger.
"The whole team is thriving with confidence following our seven-game unbeaten run. We are raring to go for the play-offs and we need to show everyone what we can do.
"We hope to draw on the experiences of what we learned from the play-offs 12 months ago and take that into tonight's game.
"There is a lot of potential in this team but we need to continue to prove what we can do."
