TEAM NEWS

Przemyslaw Placheta

Head coach Luke Williams says Przemyslaw Placheta and Charles Sagoe Jr are in contention to make their first starts for Swansea City after getting a full week of training under their belts with their new teammates.

However, Josh Key, Harrison Ashby, Harry Darling, Azeem Abdulai, Sam Parker, Liam Walsh and Josh Ginnelly are among the absentees for the Swans.

PRE-MATCH VIEWS

Luke Williams: “We dare to believe and we have a gameplan we have worked on. We believe in ourselves and we are going there expecting a tough game, but looking to win and be competitive.

“We have to go there believing in ourselves. The players have the belief we can go there and perform well. We are not going there beaten before we travel, I can tell you that.

“We need to create the positive actions we had in the last games, and make sure we convert those.

“We also have to concentrate and focus all the time because we have given up goals we did not need to.

“So, we have to be focused throughout the game and take our chances. The more we work on the training pitch the more chance we have of making those things a reality.”

Liam Rosenior: “Cyrus Christie is back in full training. Aaron Connolly is back in full training. Adama is back after international duty. It was their first day back training on Thursday so we will have to assess the training and pick a squad from that.

“When you think about when we played Sunderland, we had four teenagers in the squad. So, our squad make-up is completely different.

“At the time I was saying we working towards something and now we are getting closer to a squad that I envisaged so it is great to see those three players back."

REMEMBER THE LAST TIME?

Swansea City stretched their unbeaten run to eight games as Luke Cundle earned them a point on their last visit to the MKM Stadium to face Hull City.

The Swans had trailed early to a Ben Cabango own goal, but grew into the game and levelled when Cundle finished off a wonderful flowing move.

There were chances at both ends in the second half, but neither side could find a winner.
