Swansea City Under-21s are back on the road as they make the long journey to East Anglia to take on Ipswich Town in the Professional Development League on Tuesday (1pm).

The Swans staged a late comeback against AFC Bournemouth last time out in the league, thanks to a Maliq Cadogan brace and a Glory Nzingo strike.

The Tractor Boys, meanwhile, suffered a heavy 8-1 defeat against Charlton Athletic last time on home turf.

In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Swansea carried on their excellent home form with a 4-0 victory as a Kristian Fletcher hat-trick and a Kyrell Wilson effort secured a routine win.

Coach Anthony Wright: "It's another long trip on the road, The games are starting to come thick and fast this time of year, especially with the Premier League Cup fixture and Millwall coming up.

"But a busy schedule is always a good learning experience for the boys, as it's what you expect in senior football.

"I was proud of the performance from the Bournemouth game, the resilience shown with the ball was great to watch and we know Ipswich are a tough team, so we'll be looking to replicate that."

Swansea City Under-21s were narrowly beaten on their last visit to Ipswich Town Under-21s as the hosts came from behind to win.

Matt Ward's goal early in the second half ensured the Tractor Boys took all three points.

Ruben Davies had opened the scoring for the visitors just after the half-hour mark. However, the lead was shortlived and the young Blues were quick to respond through Harley Curtis.

Ipswich gained the lead almost immediately after the break when Ward slotted the ball past Remy Mitchell from the right side of the area.
