Swansea City Under-18s go in search of Professional Development League Cup glory as they get set to take on Millwall in this evening's final at The Den (7pm).

The Swans booked their place in the final by beating Watford 2-0 in the semi-final at Landore Training Ground last month, having advanced to the last four courtesy of a 3-0 win over Sheffield United

In the group stage, the development side topped their pool following wins over Cardiff City and AFC Bournemouth, plus a thrilling 3-3 draw with Plymouth Argyle.

The Lions - who have enjoyed an impressive season so far, making the FA Youth Cup semi-finals -  completed a comeback to win 3-2 over Oxford United in the semi-finals to progress to reach the showpiece on home turf.

Coach Jarred Harvey: "The journey the players have been on to get to the final has been incredible, the squad has changed many times and it shows the level they have.

"We know the emotion that will come with the game, and we'll have to manage that, but I have no doubt they will with the togetherness of the squad.

"We'd love nothing more than to win and lift that trophy. I know some of the boys haven't won any silverware with this club, so we want to make sure we have a moment to savour."

Swansea City Under-18s' captain Jack Fanning: “It means everything to lead the boys out in the final, but everyone in the team leads in their own way and hopefully by the end of it we can win that trophy and celebrate as a team.

“We had some disappointing results against them, but we are now in a good run of form and the boys are just flying.

“There is a great vibe in the camp, we are buzzing and can’t wait to get out there."
