Preview | Sheffield Wednesday v Swansea City
Swansea City travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday on Good Friday (3pm kick-off) looking to pick up where they left off before the international break.
The two sides are fairly close in the form table with the Swans’ three wins and a draw putting them sixth, while Sheffield Wednesday are 11th.
The Owls have won five of the last eight matches which has helped them close the gap to safety and Championship survival. They are now just one point behind Birmingham City, who currently occupy 21st spot.
The Swans will be eyeing a strong end to the season under head coach Luke Williams following the south Wales derby win over Cardiff City last time out.
TEAM NEWS
Kyle Naughton is set for a spell on the sidelines following a hamstring injury sustained during the south Wales derby, while Ben Cabango remains unavailable following the ankle injury which kept him from featuring in the game.
Liam Walsh is back on the grass, but Friday’s game comes too soon for the midfielder. Sam Parker, Josh Ginnelly and Bashir Humphreys remain out.

Luke Williams: “I expect them to fight tooth and nail for every inch of football pitch.
“We are fine with that, we are expecting that and we are ready for that and we want to do the same.
“I think it’s fair to say that the players have been showing a trend of playing on the front foot in the games leading up to this, and this is something that we want to become a trait and something we’re recognised for.
“Performances on the road have been excellent for the majority of the games, and I expect a big performance again.”
Danny Rohl: “We play our style of football with courage.If you’re only thinking ‘don’t lose’ and this is your mindset, I would prefer to think we want to win, this is more my mindset.
“Swansea have changed the manager, they have a lot of ball possession and they play a good style of football.
“They can speed up the game in some phases. It will be a challenge, I think it will be difficult, but in this league every week we have a new challenge and every challenge is difficult.
“We have prepared very well this week and have refreshed our minds.”

Swansea City recorded just a second win in 18 visits to Hillsborough on their last visit to S6 in 2021.
Jamal Lowe and Jay Fulton found the net to secure just a second-ever victory at the Owls.
Lowe set them on their way as he slotted home his 12th goal of the season from Andre Ayew’s unselfish lay-off.
Freddie Woodman and Ryan Bennett made key defensive contributions for the visitors, and their efforts were rewarded when Fulton powered home a second-half header to seal the three points.
