Hillsborough Sheffield Wednesday

Swansea City will look to extend their four-match unbeaten run when they travel to face Sheffield Wednesday in their final game before the international break this afternoon (3pm).

The Swans have picked up four points from their first three league games, and will feel they could very easily have had another three on the board.

Wednesday, meanwhile, have shown plenty of character and fight following a challenging summer where financial issues have plagued the club.

They fought back from 2-0 down against Wrexham last weekend before securing victory over Premier League Leeds United in the Carabao Cup.

Team news

Jisung Eom

Jisung Eom and Jay Fulton are doubts for the Swans after picking up knocks in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Plymouth Argyle.

Ricardo Santos is making good progress in his recovery from a knee injury, while Filip Lissah has had game time for the under-21s.

Pre-match views

Alan Sheehan: “They’re a massive football club, it’s always a tough place to go and I expect nothing different on Saturday.

“They’ve had a really good week. They have some momentum, they got something out of the Wrexham game from 2-0 down and then made a lot of changes and beat Leeds to get through to the next round.

“They’re a team that has quality, and will be very difficult to play against and we have to control what we can control and go there and try and put our stamp on the game.

“They are a very dangerous opponent, when you go to Hillsborough you do not get an easy game, you have to earn the right. We will have to ready ourselves for this challenge and face it as we would every Championship test.

“I understand the difficulties they’re having in the football club but on the pitch it’s different.”

Henrik Pedersen: "I have a big respect for Swansea, they have a good manager with a clear style of play, it's a team who are very clear offensively, I'm looking forward to this test.

"I think we have some good weeks behind us, there were some really good things in the games this week."

Josh Tymon Sheffield Wednesday

Swansea City claimed a fourth clean sheet of the season as they picked up a point against Sheffield Wednesday in last season's visit to Hillsborough.

In a game of few clear chances, the Swans struck the post through Jay Fulton early on, while Ronald was unable to convert their best chance of the second period.

Wednesday also struck the woodwork through Pol Valentin on a night where Lawrence Vigouroux did not have a save of serious note to make.
