Preview: Spurs U23s v Swans U23s

2nd November

Swansea City Under-23s will be hoping to build on their recent momentum when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Friday (12pm).

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the young Swans’ visit to the Hotspur Way Training Centre in Premier League 2.

FORM

The Swans are still looking for their first win in Premier League 2, having collected four points from the first nine games.

However, they have positive momentum following a strong second-half performance against West Ham United and a hard-fought draw against Arsenal last week.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have struggled for form in recent weeks.

Last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of high-flying Derby County was their third loss in six games.

PRE-MATCH VIEW

Brandon Cooper: “We need to take the spirit and attitude we had against Arsenal into the Tottenham game. We need to stick in there and not throw the towel in.”

REMEMBER THE LAST TIME?

The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Landore in February, as Kazaiah Sterling’s brace cancelled out earlier efforts from Courtney Baker-Richardson and Jordon Garrick.

It also finished 2-2 when the teams met in North London five months earlier, with the hosts twice coming from behind for a share of the spoils.
