Preview: Swans U21s v Bristol Rovers

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the second-round clash.

The young Swans are appearing in the knockout stages of this competition for a third consecutive year.

Despite opening with a defeat by Stevenage, they recovered with 1-0 victories over AFC Wimbledon and Charlton Athletic which saw them top Southern Group G.

Rovers, who are two-time finalists in this competition, finished second in Group D after wins over Yeovil Town and West Ham United Under-21s.

However, Darrell Clarke’s side arrive at the Liberty on a run of five consecutive defeats in all competitions.

Swans defender Joe Lewis: “It doesn’t get much better at this level. When I was younger, the night games at the Liberty were always my favourites to come and watch. There is always a brilliant atmosphere and it is a great opportunity for us.”

Bristol Rovers assistant Marcus Stewart: “We’re four games away from getting to Wembley, so tonight provides a chance for us to get through to the next round of this competition and build some confidence and momentum."

Tickets for the game will be available from the ticket office tonight.

They are priced:

Adults - £5
Concessions - £1
Under-18s - £1

There are no booking fees for this fixture.
