Preview: Swans U23s v Liverpool U23s

17th December

Swansea City Under-23s are aiming for a strong finish to 2018 when they face an in-form Liverpool in Premier League 2 on Monday.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the clash at Landore (7pm).

FORM

The Swans are looking to move off the bottom of the table by ending a two-match losing run in Premier League 2.

They will also be looking for a positive response after their exit from the Premier League International Cup following Thursday’s 4-1 defeat by Hertha Berlin II.

Meanwhile, Liverpool arrive in South Wales on a four-match unbeaten run in all competitions, which included an impressive 4-1 win over reigning Premier League 2 champions Arsenal last time out.

Their greatest threat comes from 19-year-old Canadian striker Liam Millar, who has scored six goals in his last four appearances across all levels.

REMEMBER THE LAST TIME?

The Swans’ life in Premier League Division One began with a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool at Landore in August 2017.

Danny Ings broke the deadlock after 11 minutes while a certain Yan Dhanda secured victory for the young Reds in the second half.

WHERE CAN YOU WATCH THE GAME?
