Swansea City Under-18s will look to return to winning ways when they face Bristol City in Professional Development League action at Landore Training Ground on Saturday morning (11am).

The game is free for supporters to attend and gates will be open at Landore from 10am.

The young Swans suffered defeat in the south Wales derby against Cardiff City last time out, as a Tanatswa Nyakuhwa hat-trick set the Bluebirds on the way to victory Josh Carey's first-half strike.

The Robins have lost just once in their last five league outings, winning their last two against Charlton Athletic and Reading. Bristol City currently sit fourth in the south division table.

In the reverse fixture at the Robins High Performance Centre, the Swans ran out 4-0 winners in a dominant showing over the Severn Bridge, with goals from Iwan Morgan, Geoff Bony (2) and Zane Myers.

Midfielder Aimar Govea will miss out after his recent call-up to Ecuador Under-17s for the upcoming South America Championship.

Coach Darren Davies: "The results may have not gone our way in the last two games, but I am proud of the performances the young players have put in.

"We had a terrific time at Bristol last year, it was a real joy to watch.

"Going on to Saturday, we've just told the boys to stick to what they know and to implement our model and principles on the pitch, and what we've gone over in training individually and collectively."

Swansea City 1 Bristol City 1

Swansea City Under-18s kicked off 2022 with a draw against Bristol City when they last hosted the Robins, as they were denied all three points by a late equaliser at Landore.

The Swans - playing for the first time since December 14 - led for the majority of the game after Aaron Hillier’s goal just beyond the half-hour mark.

The Robins were reduced to 10 men in the second half and it looked as if Swansea would double their lead as they created a number of chances, but instead the visitors would find a leveller with just four minutes to go through Ephraim Yeboah.
