Swansea City Under-21s return to competitive action as they host Birmingham City in their Premier League Cup opener this evening (7pm kick-off).

Entry for this fixture is free, and spectators are permitted on-site from 6pm.

The Swans rounded off pre-season with a confident 5-2 victory over Oxford United in midweek after a one-all draw against Brentford B last week.

Swansea will also face Gillingham and Huddersfield Town in the group stages. View the full fixture list HERE.

Swansea, winners of the competition during the 2016-17 campaign, bowed out of the competition in the knockouts last season, following a narrow 1-0 loss against Colchester United.

Birmingham, in their second season of category one football, didn't progress to the knockouts last campaign having not won a game in their group consisting of AFC Bournemouth, Hull City and Reading.
