Swansea City Under-21s are back in Professional Development League action on Monday (3pm) as they take on Colchester United at Landore Training Ground.

Supporters can attend the game for free and watch the next generation of Swans players in action.

The Swans will look to bounce back after a 2-1 loss at Bristol City just last week despite putting in a strong performance.

Colchester United Under-21s come into the fixture having lost twice in their last five games. Their most recent outing saw the young U's suffer a 2-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

Swansea City Under-21's coach Anthony Wright said: "We put in a good performance at Bristol, which myself and the team were really proud of.

"We'll have the boys back after International break. What an experience it has been for them and it's essential for their development. Ultimately, it will help us in the long run.

"We'll assess the Bristol game, and work hard on the training pitch with the staff and we'll look to take the win on home turf."

Swansea City 4 Colchester United 2

Swansea City Under-23s extended their unbeaten run to four games with a fine win over Colchester United in the Professional Development League at Landore.

The Swans notched three first-half goals, with Cameron Evans, Joel Cotterill and Tarrelle Whittaker all scoring before the break, with Chay Cooper picking one up for the visitors.

Colchester put on the pressure in the second half, Bradley Ihionvein capitalising on a mistake to narrow the deficit to one, but a second Swansea City goal for Joe Thomas confirmed all three points for the hosts.

The fixture is taking place at Landore Training Ground and it is free to watch.
