Swansea City Under-21s are back in Premier League Cup action on Friday afternoon as they take on Stoke City Under-21s at Landore Training Ground. (2pm kick-off).

The Swans will look to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat against Group G leaders Arsenal last time out in the cup.  

The young Swans have taken one win in their three cup fixtures so far, their solitary win coming via an entertaining 5-2 comeback against Burnley.

The Potters currently sit bottom of Group G after collecting two points from their first three matches in the competition.

Swansea City Under-21s head coach Jon Grey: “We’ve got three games left now. We’ll be looking to get the maximum points in all three to progress to the next round.  

“That’s what we've said when we’ve sat down and planned. It is one of the goals set for the players.  

“We have three fixtures left to try and get nine points from. We’ll work hard now this week to go into Friday’s game and try and get the three points.”

Daniel Jervis’ stoppage-time penalty broke Swansea City Under-23s’ hearts as they lost a thrilling encounter against Stoke City at the Swansea.com Stadium. 

The young Swans led 2-0 and 3-2 in the Premier League 2 Division 2 clash, with Ollie Cooper, Tom Carroll and Liam Cullen all on target. 

However, they were pegged back by Jake Dunwoody’s 86th-minute strike, before Jervis slotted home from the penalty spot in the dying seconds to see the visitors come away with all three points.
