Stacey John-Davis’ hat-trick helped fire Swansea City Women into the semi-finals of the Genero Adran Trophy with a 5-0 win over Cascade YC Ladies.
Emily Richards fired the Swans in front, her left footed effort finding the back of the net for her seventh of the season.
John-Davis made it two before the break, smashing a volley home from a tight angle to double the Swans lead.
She would have her second after the break, bursting into the box before rounding the goalkeeper and blasting home from close range.
The hat-trick for John-Davis would be sealed with 15 minutes to go, a stunning volley from the edge of the box nestling in the top left corner .
Jasmine Guymer would make it five late on, bundling the ball over the the line to secure progression into the semi-finals.
The Swans had the chance to go ahead in the opening moments, Sammy Wynne’s through ball setting Aimee Deacon on goal, but her effort was saved well by a diving Bethan Connolly.
John-Davis almost found the opening after working space on the edge, but Connolly was on hand again to provide another good save.
But Richards find the break through soon after, arrowing a low effort into the bottom left corner to put the Swans in front.
John-Davis would double before the break, an excellent lofted ball from Richards finding her in the box, before she volleyed home from a tight angle to double the lead.
Wynne almost made it three before the break, latching onto the end of Lucy Finch’s cross, but couldn’t quite turn her effort past the goalkeeper.
Robyn Pinder came close to making it three just after the break, her powerful volleyed effort smashing off the crossbar.
But soon after it would be three, John-Davis netting her second of the game as she rounded the keeper before smashing into the back of the net.
Substitute Chloe Chivers came close to making it four not long after, her long range strike cannoning off the post.
But John-Davis would seal her hat-trick to make it four, Chloe Chivers’ ball over the top finding her on the right hand side of the box, allowing her to smash home a volley into the top left corner.
Guymer would make it five late on, her initial shot being saved from close range, before picking the ball back up and bundling past the keeper.
The win sees the Swans reach the semi-finals of the competion for a second consecutive season as they seek a third Adran Trophy title.
